Medicaid Access for Planned Parenthood (SC)

SB 20 anniversary, SC SCOTUS Decision, and now this.

It's a lot. This grief, may it be fuel as we join you in calling our legislators *now*. We wrote this before the decision came down, and so we must amend to say Congress is no longer merely considering this bill, but instead it has been passed by the US Senate.

While cutting Planned Parenthood access to Medicaid right now is limited to South Carolina, the bill just passed by the US Senate will realize this reality nationwide, leaving 8 million people uninsured while cutting over 700 million from Medicaid. Even if you live in a legal state with access, this can be changed with this legislation as costs will be shifted to providers to shoulder. Those of us in the South managing TRAP laws with state mandated provider shortages know deeply how these weights stack on our providers and clinics; make no mistake that this will close clinic doors across the country.

Every liberty and every moment of joy we have required a fight for it, and every moment we've enjoyed is proof we win when we fight for it together.
